Physiotherapy Hong Kong
Physiotherapy aims to relief pain and restore function, whether it be tying your shoe laces or returning to high level sport.
During your appointment your physiotherapist will ask questions and perform a physical examination to diagnose the cause of your pain or restriction. Treatment will be based on the assessment findings, and aim to get you back to normal as soon as possible.
Hands on treatment can include manipulations, mobilisations, massage, taping, dry needling, and acupuncture for pain relief. Any treatment will be fully explained to you and only performed if you are happy with the treatment plan.
Home exercises are a very important part of physiotherapy as you can speed up recovery between appointments and stop the problem returning once you are back to your old self.
Physiotherapy can not only help you return to normal function but optimise performance at a higher level and help prevent injuries.
Physiotherapy is covered by many health insurance policies but you may need a doctor’s referral or pre-approval so please check will your health insurance provider.
