Osteopathy Hong Kong
Osteopathy is a form of complementary physical medicine that focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system (bones, muscles, nerves and joints) and how it relates to the overall health and well-being of an individual. Osteopaths use a hands-on approach to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal problems, such as back pain, neck pain, and joint pain.
In Australia and the United Kingdom, osteopaths are regulated healthcare professionals who have completed a 4 year minimum in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in osteopathy and are registered with the relevant government regulatory body. They are also trained in other areas such as nutrition, exercise, and rehabilitation.
During a consultation, the osteopath will take a detailed medical history, perform a physical examination, and use various techniques such as massage, stretching, and joint manipulation to help improve the function of the neuro-musculoskeletal system.
We may also advise you on posture, exercise, and lifestyle changes to improve your overall health and prevent future re-injury.
